BRIEF CAREER HISTORY

 

1. Early Career:

    My professional journey began in the Philippines as an Apprentice Mine Geologist for Benguet Corporation after graduating with a BSc Geology degree in 1980. For seven years, I climbed the ranks, managing the Geology Department in open-pit operations and gaining experience in mapping, sampling, grade control, drilling, mine exploration, production planning, reserve estimation, and staff training.

 

2. Leadership and Exploration:

    In 1987, I joined United Paragon Mining Corporation as Chief Geologist, playing a pivotal role in establishing policies and procedures for various geological operations. I also spearheaded surface exploration projects, utilizing my expertise in detailed mapping, sampling, and drilling techniques.

 

3. International Expansion:

    In 1992, I ventured into Indonesia with Pelsart Group as Senior Expatriate Computer Geologist. Here, I planned and implemented diamond core-drilling programs, managed data management systems, and evaluated the initial resource of a gold prospect.

 

4. Consulting and Expertise:

    In 1995, I co-founded PT. Snowden IndoAsia, establishing its consulting direction and securing diverse projects. My expertise spanned computer presentation graphics, geostatistical resource estimation, orebody modeling, technical audits, project valuations, training, and project management.

 

5. Australian Journey and Diversification:

    In 1996, I immigrated to Australia and later transitioned to data management and resource estimation with Exploration and Mining Consultants. Recognizing my diverse skills, I was appointed a sub-contractor for due diligence projects, showcasing my ability to adapt to different industries.

 

6. Management and Innovation:

    From 1999 to 2006, I joined American Banknote, overseeing data migration and spearheading continuous improvement initiatives. I secured ISO9001:2000 accreditation, streamlined processes, and established a new business line. Additionally, I led the Secura SCAN project, implementing innovative scanning technologies.

 

7. Geological Expertise in Victoria:

    In 2006, I joined GeoScience Victoria, managing digital data capture projects and ensuring data integrity for geological databases. I contributed to the "Developing Gold Undercover" initiative and represented the state in a national data exchange working group.

 

8. Project Management and Consulting:

    In 2007, I joined AMC Consultants, tackling projects like heavy mineral sands evaluation, technical reviews, and data validation. I secured a JORC compliant review for nickel and lignite deposits, demonstrating my commitment to international standards.

 

9. Exploration Leadership and Global Reach:

    In 2008, I became Exploration Manager for Xinjiang Gold Projects in China, expanding my leadership to a global scale. I was elected to the Board of Directors and led exploration programs in Cambodia, showcasing my strategic thinking and adaptability.

 

10. Consulting Growth and Leadership:

    In 2010, I joined Mining Plus as Principal Geology Consultant, establishing the geology consulting direction and securing diverse projects. I became Consulting Manager Geology, leading a team and providing expertise in resource modeling, asset management, and technical audits.

 

11. Project Geologist and Redundancy:

    In 2012, I joined Intrepid Mines as Principal Resource Geologist, contributing to feasibility studies for a world-class copper-gold deposit. Due to unforeseen circumstances, the project was halted, and I was made redundant.

 

12. Independent Consulting and Government Work:

    In 2013, I established my independent consulting business, providing services in resource estimation, data management, and technical reporting. I secured government contracts with the Geological Survey of Victoria, demonstrating my expertise and trust within the industry.

 

13. International Development Project:

    In 2014, I joined the USAID-funded MIDAS Project in Afghanistan, focusing on legal and regulatory reform, technical assistance to the Ministry of Mines and Petroleum, capacity development of the Afghanistan Geological Survey (AGS) and Small to Medium Enterprise (SME). This project allowed me to contribute to the advancement of the Afghan mining sector.

 

14. Current Role and Responsibilities:

    Since 2016, I have been the General Manager of Geology and Resources at Medusa Mining Ltd (now TEN SIXTY FOUR LTD). I lead the exploration team, develop resource protocols, manage data, and contribute to the company's strategic vision, ensuring the integrity and profitability of mining operations.
