Barrick Gold Corporation, Indonesia [Gold] Project leader for the computerisation and digitisation of several tenements in Kalimantan and Irian Jaya. PT. Bumi Karindo, Indonesia [Gold] Attained a six months contract to oversee the project management of a gold prospect in West Java, Indonesia. The job included regular site inspection, selection, and hiring of key personnel, data management, and technical advisory.   5. Mining Operations & Exploration Benguet Corporation  [Gold] Planned and supervised open pit drilling evaluation of 5 million tonnes @ 2.5 gm Au/t of Acupan's GW orebody which attained a monthly production of 342 Kg Au. Carried out detailed mine evaluations of Nalisbitan Gold Mine (1.5 million tonnes @ 1.73 gms Au/t) and Co'O Gold Mine (745,000 tonnes at 7.1 gms Au/t). Economically maintained (increased) the ore reserve position of the open pit and underground mines in Baguio Gold District. Contributed to a safe working environment of both open pit and underground operations by conducting regular inspections.   Longos Gold Mine (Paragon Resources NL)  [Gold] Undertook collaborative planning activities associated with development of the mine's future open cut (400,000 tonnes @ 3.5 gms Au/t) and underground operations (1.2 million tonnes @ 14 gms Au/t) to achieve an average production rate of 25 kg/month. Planned and delineated an exploration project which provided additional resources of 500,000 tonnes @ 4.1 gms Au/t.   6. Employment with Leigh Mardon Some of the significant work achievements while at Leigh Mardon Australasia (American Banknote) are as follows: Restructured the Data Processing Operations by reviewing existing labour, qualifications, experience and work attitude of all personnel. This review led to the relocation and hiring of new DP operators that are suited to the dynamic nature of the business. Reviewed the processes and equipment used by the department. This resulted in the upgrade of old workstations to state of the art computers and up to date software. Revised and improved the documentation and work instructions within the department making it easy to understand, coherent and abiding with the ISO9000 accreditation. Reinforced a work ethic recognising that DP Operations is a service bureau with the aim of providing products only to satisfy customer requirements. Redesigned the office and work area to make it more efficient. Trained and supervised new DP Operators on the various data management and processing procedures, emphasising the need for focus, attention to detail and security. Interacted with IT programmers on the improvement of in-house software. Have also been involved in writing codes in Visual Basic 6. Liaised with various clients on the issues pertaining to their data. Have been part of the team who regularly make tender presentations to clients. This has led to successful retention of big contracts from which the company acknowledged my involvement. With the above record of accomplishment, I was commissioned by the company to visit Leigh Mardon’s Ingleburn Office, Sydney to review their current processes and put forward recommendations for improvement. Was given several Project Management tasks among them was the transfer of the PIN Bureau to the Secura PIN business unit. Also as a team member in a major project of transferring the  entire secure cheque printing business from Sydney to the Melbourne printing plant. As at September 2002, was handed the task of overseeing the Quality Assurance aspect of the company's Personalisation Plant (Highett Production Site). This task entails functioning as Quality Assurance Manager responsible for the upkeep, continuous improvement and monitoring of the company's ISO9001:2000 certification.  This function involved various projects of converting the predominantly paper based system to a digital/electronic system (e.g. document control, customer complaints, among others). This project was successfully completed by February 2003 and the company was ISO9001:2000 certified until 2006. As at November 2005, was appointed as the Project Manager for developing the Scanning business capability of Leigh Mardon. This project involves the research, development and testing of the various scanning technologies currently available in the market for possible integration to Leigh Mardon's business solutions. As at January 2006, was given a project to develop a KPI capture, measuring and reporting system for the "secure personalisation production plant." The resulting system was popular company wide that it was rolled out to other business units where I am used as a resource for development and implementation. As at March 2006, was appointed as System Administrator for the "Time and Attendance" project. This task involves acquiring new technical IT skills in the e-Tivity software to manage the day-to-day administrative tasks as well as conduct training and trouble shooting.  The project went live in the last week of August 2006.   7. GeoScience Victoria - DPI Gold Undercover Initiative [Gold] Project Lead in the validation and quality control of the State's comprehensive borehole (Project GSV04) and geochemistry (Project GSV05) databases for on-line publication through GeoVic (http://dpi.vic.gov.au/minpet)   Mineral Occurrence Data Model Has been appointed to be a member of the Mineral Occurrence Data Model Working Group to represent the state of Victoria. The working group has the objective of formulating a standard data exchange in regards to mineral occurrence models Australia-wide.   8. AMC Consultants Pty Ltd Mineral Deposits Limited, Senegal [Heavy Mineral Sands] Comparative analysis of heavy mineral sands assays between bulk samples from Shafts, RC and Auger drilling for the Grande Cote project in Senegal.   Peak Gold Desktop Review, Western Australia  [Gold] Assisted in the compilation of documentation for a confidential technical review/due diligence of certain gold assets in Western Australia.   Ormonde Mining Plc, UK [Copper] Block model review of the La Zarza deposit in southern Spain.   Kazakhmys Plc, UK [Copper] Performed data validation and wireframe modelling of the copper porphyry oxide zone for resource and reserve estimation of the Aktogay project.   Roseberry Mine, Tasmania [Zinc, Base Metals] Technical Review of the geology and resources of the Roseberry Mine, Tasmania of Zinifex in behalf of Grant Samuel & Associates.   LARCO, Greece [Nickel Laterite] Successfully obtained a contract for the auditing of the company's Nickel laterite & Lignite deposits in Greece.    9. Dragon Mountain Gold Pty Ltd   Just as DMG was getting well into exploration on several geographically separate projects in China the global financial crisis reduced the availability of funds for exploration which meant a drastic change in plan. James was able to successfully take up the challenge and fill several exploration roles managing the continuation of work spanning the large and widespread tenements (TB Moylan, GM) Successfully upgraded the Liba resources (Indicated) and released the maiden resource for Ma Gou projects compliant to the JORC code reporting standards.   10. Mining Plus Pty Ltd CopperChem, Australia [Copper] Geological Services: Database management review, block model validation and implementing drilling protocols on the Great Australia Mine, Cloncurry, QLD, Australia. Due diligence review of Mt. Colin copper deposit in Queensland, Australia. Geological mentoring in mine geology and grade control.   Bezant Resources Plc, WA, Australia [Copper - Gold] JORC Compliant resource review and description of the Guinaoang Cu-Au Deposit in Mankayan Gold District, Benguet Province, the Philippines.   Albidon Limited, WA, Australia [Nickel Sulphides] Munali Nickel Mine, Zambia. Intrepid Mines Ltd Successfully assessed and assisted in the update and upgrade oxide and porphyry resources of the Tujuh Bukit Project in Indonesia. Signed off as QP with overall responsibility for the Technical Report (NI 43-101) submitted to the Ontario Stock Exchange (SEDAR). Part of the company’s two man technical team that completed the Engineering Study (Pre-Feasibility) for Tujuh Bukit Project. This project was completed end of March 2013 that made myself redundant.    12. Natural Resources Industry Consultants Geological Survey of Victoria (Department of Primary Industries), Melbourne, VIC, Australia [Various] Been commissioned by the Geological Survey of Victoria (Department of Primary Industries – Victoria) to undertake high-level confidential independent expert review of technical and mineralisation reports whether they are compliant to JORC 2004 reporting standards as well as the Ministerial Guidelines.   Raub Australian Gold Mine, Pahang, Malaysia [Gold] Been commissioned to review the resources and reserves reports whether it is JORC compliant, as well as prepare an exploration program to upgrade the exploration targets to inferred and indicated resources category.
