Position
Summary
In February 2014, employed by
Castlemaine Goldfields Ltd (CGT) on fixed term (two-months) permanent part-time basis as Principal Resource Geologist, who
provides economic evaluation of the company's Central Victorian gold
projects. The position also assist in the review of potential M&A projects for
the parent company (LionGold Corporation Ltd - LGC) as appropriate and in the
estimation and/or review of the corporate mineral resources as appropriate.
The Position
Performs:
 |
Provide budgeting information for business
plans and develop, rank and propose exploration targets as appropriate. |
|
Contribute to CGT's "find more ore strategy,
as appropriate. |
|
Assist with both regional (CGT) and global (LGC)
M&A and Mineral Resource Estimation activity as required. |
|
Reviews of geological
and resource data and modelling. |
|
Contribute to
geological data acquisition and interpretation for evaluation programmes. |
|
Complete Mineral Resource and Ore Reserve
reports to required international reporting standards. |
|
Use research and academic literatures to
update mineralised models for effective evaluation. |
|
Continuous improvement in developing
strategies to optimise the evaluation process. |
Key Areas of
Responsibility
|
To optimise the discovery cost per ounce,
and ensure that all aspects of ore definition are considered from target
through to mining of the ore body. |
|
To ensure (with the team) that all data
collected is collated into a useable format that can be utilised effectively
for the purpose of geological interpretation and resource estimation. |
|
Contribute to the geological interpretation
and the generation of geological models. |
|
Undertake/lead resource estimation with a
hands on approach as the internal specialist in computerised block
modelling. |
|
Provide training and mentoring to geological
staff as required. |
|
Contribute to monthly reports as required. |
