Team Leader

Component II - Mineral Exploration & Capacity Development

Position Summary

 

    A promotion to Team Lead from previous title at USAID MIDAS Project based in Kabul, Afghanistan.

    The Team Leader for Component 2 reports to the Chief of Party. As Team Leader I have two primary roles:

    First, is responsible for the timely and effective implementation of all approved programs in the work plan. Overall responsibilities include technical leadership; team management and mentoring; policy advocacy; donor and partner liaison; new projects development; and oversight of programmatic management and reporting. As Team Leader, I am also responsible for setting strategic directions and developing the Component's objectives ensuring that systems are in place and being properly implemented, and in alignment with MIDAS/USAID policies and guidelines.

    Second, is responsible for the overall coordination and management of Component 2; meeting the project’s technical objectives, managing program staff, managing partnering agreements, maintaining good working relationships with host government officials and local partners, reporting and ensuring a high-quality delivery of services.In May 2014, joined the US Agency for International Development (USAID) funded Mining Investment and Development for Afghan Sustainability (MIDAS) Project based in Kabul, Afghanistan as the Senior Geologist for Mineral Exploration & Capacity Development,
